Terms and Conditions for Resonate Dance Company

Studio Policies, Terms & Conditions & Strike System

Effective Date: 1st July, 2019 

By enrolling in any class, camp, workshop, or program at Resonate, all students (and their parents/guardians, if under 18) agree to the following studio-wide terms, operating procedures, and behavioural standards. These policies are designed to maintain a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment for all.



✅ 1. Booking, Attendance & Cancellations
    •    All classes, workshops, and camps must be booked in advance through our designated system or communication channel.
    •    If you need to cancel a session, you must do so at least 2 hours before the scheduled start time.
    •    Cancellations made within 2 hours of the start time may not be eligible for refunds or credit.
    •    Medical emergencies are exempt, but please notify the studio as soon as possible.
    •    Repeated late arrivals or unnotified absences may affect participation in performances or result in disciplinary review.



👕 2. Dress Code & Studio Footwear
    •    All students must wear appropriate attire for movement and performance-based activities.
    •    Clean dance shoes, clean trainers, or bare feet are allowed in studios. Outdoor shoes are not permitted on studio floors.
    •    Hair must be neatly tied back for all classes, rehearsals, and camps.
    •    No large jewellery, accessories, or loose items that could pose a hazard.



🧠 3. Health, Safety & Medical Disclosure
    •    Safety is a top priority. Students must follow all staff instructions and remain aware of their surroundings.
    •    You must disclose all medical conditions, injuries, or allergies that could affect your or your child’s participation.
    •    Resonate is not liable for injuries, accidents, or illness that occur during or around class activities. Participation is at your own risk.
    •    If you feel unwell or are injured during class, notify a staff member immediately.



🤝 4. Behaviour, Conduct & Respect
    •    We expect all students, staff, and families to treat each other with respect, kindness, and professionalism.
    •    Disrespect toward instructors, peers, staff, or the facility will not be tolerated.
    •    Gossip, foul language, aggressive behaviour, and bullying (in-person or digital) will be addressed swiftly and may result in disciplinary action.
    •    Follow instructors’ directions at all times and refrain from disruptive behaviour in classes or waiting areas.



📲 5. Personal Property & Devices
    •    Mobile phones must be on silent and kept away during class unless instructed otherwise.
    •    Resonate is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
    •    Personal bags should be stored neatly and out of the way during class.



📸 6. Media Usage & Consent
    •    We reserve the right to film or photograph classes, rehearsals, and performances for internal training and promotional purposes.
    •    These may be shared via WhatsApp class groups, social media platforms, or marketing materials.
    •    If you do not consent to media use, you must inform us in writing. We will make every effort to accommodate.



⚠️ 7. Penalty Strike System

To maintain a professional and respectful studio environment, Resonate enforces the following disciplinary structure:

🟡 Strike One
    •    Verbal and written warning
    •    Documentation of the incident
    •    Opportunity for correction without immediate consequence

🟠 Strike Two
    •    Formal meeting with studio leadership
    •    Loss of certain privileges (e.g. lead roles, performances, participation in special events)
    •    May be assigned a service task (e.g. studio cleanup)

🔴 Strike Three
    •    Temporary suspension or review of continued enrolment
    •    Written notice of final warning
    •    May be grounds for permanent dismissal from the studio

🚫 Immediate Dismissal Clause

Resonate reserves the right to bypass the strike system and terminate participation immediately in the case of serious infractions, including but not limited to:
    •    Harassment, bullying, or threats (verbal, physical, or digital)
    •    Violence or unsafe behaviour
    •    Theft or vandalism
    •    Discrimination of any kind
    •    Repeated defiance of authority or major disruption of class

No refunds will be given in cases of removal due to misconduct.



🔁 8. Strike Removal & Redemption
    •    Strikes may be reviewed and removed after 90 days of consistent, positive participation.
    •    Requests for removal must be submitted in writing and approved by studio leadership.

Terms and Conditions for Resonate Production Tickets

 

 

1.   General Information

  • These Terms & Conditions apply to all ticket sales for performances organised by Resonate Dance Company  via our official performance website.

  • By purchasing a ticket, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

 

2. Ticket Purchase

  • Tickets for performances are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • All tickets are for allocated seating. The seat number and row will be indicated on your ticket and must be respected during the performance.

  • You are responsible for checking the performance date, time, and venue before completing your purchase.

 

3. Refunds

  • Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except in the event of a cancellation by Resonate Dance Company 
     

4. Resale of Tickets

  • Tickets can be resold at face value only. We do not endorse or permit the sale of tickets at a higher price than the original purchase amount.

  • The new ticket holder must provide accurate contact information for seating allocation and communication purposes.
     

5. Transfer of Tickets

  • If you wish to transfer your ticket to another person, you must inform us at least 24 hours before the event by emailing info@resonatedancecompany.com

  • The new ticket holder must adhere to these Terms & Conditions.
     

6. Event Changes

  • Resonate Dance Company reserves the right to make changes to the cast, venue, or performance schedule at any time. However, we will endeavor to keep such changes to a minimum and notify ticket holders in advance when possible.
     

7. Arrival and Admission

  • Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance, at the discretion of the event organizers.

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the performance to ensure you are seated on time.
     

8. Conduct at the Venue

  • All attendees must follow venue rules and behave in a respectful manner.

  • Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the event without a refund.

  • No food or drink can be brought into the auditorium.
     

9. Liability

  • Resonate Dance Company is not responsible for any personal belongings lost, stolen, or damaged during the performance.

  • We do not accept liability for any injury or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
     

10. Data Protection

  • By purchasing a ticket, you agree to provide us with certain personal information, such as your name and contact details. We will use this information solely for ticketing and communication purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
     

11. Changes to Terms & Conditions

  • Resonate Dance Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.

Terms and Conditions for Resonate Pay As You Go Packages

  1. Each package includes a fixed number of class hours, which can be used for any open Resonate classes.

  2. Bookings must be made at least 2 hours before the class start time.

  3. Cancellations must also be made at least 2 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the class being deducted from your balance.

  4. Packages are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. Unused hours will expire after this period.

  5. Packages are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for unused or expired sessions.

  6. Packages are non-transferable and may not be shared between students.

  7. Resonate reserves the right to adjust the class schedule or cancel sessions when necessary.

Terms and Conditions for Resonate Monthly Open Subscriptions
 

  1. Monthly subscriptions include a fixed number of classes per week, booked and managed by the Resonate admin team.

  2. Classes are scheduled based on availability and suitability for the student's age and skill level.

  3. Missed classes are not refundable or carried forward. If you can’t attend, the session is forfeited.

  4. Subscriptions auto-renew each month unless cancelled.

  5. It is the subscriber’s responsibility to cancel their plan before the next billing cycle if they no longer wish to continue.

  6. Cancellations must be submitted via email or WhatsApp at least 3 days before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.

  7. Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun, regardless of attendance.

  8. Plans are non-transferable and may not be shared between students.

  9. Any misuse, ongoing non-attendance, or disrespectful behaviour may result in suspension or termination of the subscription.

  10. Resonate reserves the right to adjust class offerings or booking arrangements if necessary.
